Death Cab for Cutie的新專輯Codes & Keys要在5/31發行了，我覺得當我聽到他們新歌 "You Are A Tourist" 的時候，比聽到Radiohead的新歌時還要興奮。這次的專輯據說會用大量的吉他，新歌聽起來果然也是如此，音牆比以往都強大，民謠味又更少了，但揪心的感覺一點也不少。
他們的第一首新歌公布以後，也公布了一個新的活動：MV網路直播。 在台灣時間4/6上午，將會在官方網站youareatourist.com，同步直播這個事先規劃好、一鏡到底完全不重來的MV。新歌的MV導演是Tim Nackashi，名聲挺大，曾導過Radiohead In Rainbows的廣告和OK GO "WTF?"的MV。不過說真心的，這兩支偏偏不怎麼樣。如果去看他的作品集大概會覺得這兩支是他所有作品裡最差的，不知道DCFC的新MV將會如何。
4/6 MV播出後記：我已經把youtube連結換成新MV了，官網網路直播的頁面也可以看，可以兩相比較直播的樣貌和後續有經過一點點修改的成品樣貌。差最多的地方應該是開頭Ben Gibbard走位和太緊張的地方，這裡應該是retake了。第一個進入腦中的是那些三角形（三稜鏡），完全就是向平克佛洛依德月之暗面的封面致敬！而後則很有惡趣味，這些人在鏡頭前面裝模作樣，刻意誇大的動作和卡通化的佈景，戴著巴洛克華麗頭飾的女伶跳著大腿舞，像是萬花嬉春在百老匯的那一段一樣，可愛極了。
DCFC加拿大的官網已經可以預購新專輯了，有黑膠版也有CD版。另外他們同時也發行了一張演唱會的DVD。不過DCFC的預購不像Radiohead已經把運費給包了，還得自己另付國際運費，下單前還是得多斟酌兩下。
除了新專輯以外，Ben Gibbard還幫電影Arthur寫了一首配樂：When The Sun Goes Down。而他老婆Zooey Deschanel則是幫今年暑假要上檔的的小熊維尼長篇唱主題曲：So Long。
